Viajar al Norte significa estar en contacto puro con la naturaleza y con culturas que aún conservan su pasado milenario. La famosa Quebrada de Humahuaca, en la provincia de Jujuy. Los colores que aquí encontramos están casi todos subordinados a la majestuosidad del rojo, que con sus variaciones de adobe y naranja, dominan todo el paisaje sin caer nunca en la monotonía. Cada pueblo es tan característico y único que se hace difícil poder hacer una preferencia entre alguno de ellos. Todos tiene esa magia que cautiva a las personalidades más variadas, y estremece a los más duros.
El primer pueblo con el que nos encontramos es Purmamarca. Famosa por su Cerro de los Siete Colores, Purmamarca presenta un atractivo de singular belleza. Es uno de los pueblos más pintorescos del Norte argentino, y su paleta de colores alcanza tanto al paisaje como a su gente. Con su gran plaza en el centro del pueblo, donde las artesanías abundan, y con sus majestuosas formaciones petreas que forman el Paseo de los Colorados, Purmamarca marca el comienzo de un viaje hacia lo inigualable. Excursiones como el Tren a las Nubes presentan a la Puna con fuertes contrastes frente a las nieves eternas de la cordillera de los Andes.Tapices, tejidos en fino hilo, ponchos en lana de oveja, llama o alpaca, artículos de orfebrería y cestería con fibras vegetales son algunas de las artesanías típicas que se pueden adquirir en la zona. Las provincias del Norte de la Argentina exhiben entremezclados vestigios precolombinos, ruinas de fortalezas y poblados indígenas y construcciones de la Conquista y de la Colonización. El tiempo parece haberse detenido en el altiplano de la Puna; tierra surcada de serranías, desfiladeros y quebradas. Los pueblos fueron establecidos en las hondonadas de la tierra. Los rodean cerros, a veces multicolores a veces monocromáticos, con laderas cubiertas de grandes cactus. Esta región permite el encuentro con un paisaje pleno de contrastes, desde las altas cumbres hasta la llanura, con salares y selvas subtropicales, en el que echó sus raíces la cultura latinoamericana.

Mendoza es una provincia argentina situada en el oeste del país. Limita al norte con San Juan, al este con la provincia de San Luis, al sur con La Pampa y Neuquén y al oeste con Chile.

En algunos sitios de la montaña se producen nevadas; y más cerca del llano se precipita la lluvia en forma de granizo, causando verdaderas catástrofes en los cultivos por el daño que acontece. Se puede considerar a Mendoza como pionera en el trabajo científico sobre los métodos de lucha contra el granizo, por la variedad de técnicas empleadas para su eliminación.

Un relieve de serranías y un clima benigno caracterizan a la provincia de Córdoba, donde se alternan paisajes naturales y monumentos arquitectónicos coloniales. Pueblos, reliquias históricas y pinturas rupestres, se combinan en un paisaje amable de valles, altas pampas y quebradas.
Hacia el noroeste de la llanura pampeana, surgen las sierras de Córdoba, pertenecientes al sistema “Sierras Pampeanas”, que alcanzan los 2.790 metros de altura en el cerro Champaquí. Sus valles fértiles, sus desiertos y salinas otorgan al conjunto una especial atracción.
Dispersas siguiendo el camino hacia el norte, van apareciendo las capillas y estancias -del siglo XVII y XVIII- construcciones muchas de ellas legadas por los jesuitas. This important city (the second one after Buenos Aires as regards its population), is quite modern and, at the same time, has preserved several buildings from the Colonial Age, built between the XVII and XVIII centuries.
La cordillera de los Andes exhibe su grandeza en las provincias patagónicas. Bosques milenarios y silenciosos con especies vegetales autóctonas se extienden a orillas de los espejos de agua. En las cumbres de las montañas, la naturaleza se desborda en picos de granito y campos de hielo que derraman sus lenguas glaciares en lagos de belleza inigualable.
Imponentes mamíferos y aves marinas viven algunas temporadas en las agrestes costas patagónicas donde cumplen parte de su ciclo vital. Colonias de lobos marinos juguetean en islotes y restingas. Los elefantes marinos del sur tienen en Península Valdés el más importante apostadero continental del mundo, lugar mágico al que acuden puntualmente las ballenas francas australes a procrearse (golfos Nuevo y San José). Maras, ñandúes y guanacos corretean por estepas y en Punta Tombo anida la mayor colonia de pingüinos magallánicos del planeta. La atónita mirada del visitante contempla esta cadencia que se repite desde tiempos inmemorables.
Y al sur, la Tierra del Fuego y la ciudad más austral del mundo, Ushuaia, una puerta abierta hacia la inmensa y misteriosa Antártida.
